OVERVIEW
The practical and economic costs to your business caused
by health-related work performance issues can be devastating.
To assist in the recruitment process and to ensure compliance
with the Disability Discrimination Act 1995, we offer a
pre-employment health assessment which will enable you to
identify if the applicant is fit for the specific job, or
if there are any underlying health issues which need to
be investigated.
What services are provided?
You will receive a report prepared by a professional occupational
health adviser confirming that the applicant is fit for
the employment specified, or advice as to the course of
action that you should take.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
- Your employee completes the questionnaire
- You send the form to our occupational health advisers
- Our occupational health advisers prepare a report
- The report is posted back to you.

Pre-employment health assessment - £26.50
If further reports or an appointment with a health adviser
is required, individual costs will be confirmed.

What is the background of your Health Advisers?
Our Health Advisers are an independent company who have
specialised in the occupational health area for over 7 years.
The widely experienced team has expertise in a variety of
disciplines which ensures that collectively they are able
to provide occupational health services in any environment.
If a health assessment indicates that further investigations
are required, what are the costs involved?
The costs of further investigations vary for each case.
The following are examples of average costs. You will be
informed of the actual costs for each particular case prior
to the comencement of further investigations.
- If a GP or Specialists report is required, the average
cost is £60-£80
- If the individual needs to be seen by a doctor, the
average cost is £100-£120.

a more detailed examination, where are they located?
Our Health Advisers have more than 43 locations in the UK
and are therefore always within easy reach.
How can the Employee Health services help my business?
- Pre-Employment Assessments: A pre-employment assessment
can help you to avoid recruitment mistakes by ensuring
that an individual is appropriate for a particular role
in your organisation.
- Management Referrals: Employee sickness is both costly
and disruptive to employers. A management referral will
help to provide you with the information you need to manage
your business more effectively when dealing with a sickness
absence issue, such as how long a member of staff is likely
to be absent and what modifications could have to be made
when the employee is fit to return to work.
- Night Worker Medical Assessment & Follow-up: Under
the Working Time Regulations night workers have the right
to a free health assessment. Our on-line service can help
your organisation comply with this legislative requirement
in an easy and cost effective manner.
Are these services applicable to any business environment?
Our Health Advisers cater for clients from a variety of
sectors and backgrounds and we therefore recognise that
each environment can present different health and safety
issues which can only be met by a multi-disciplined team.
How confidential is the information?
Occupational Physicians are bound by the same rules on medical
confidentiality as all other doctors. It is possible for
all the advice you require to be provided by the physician
without the nature of the individual's specific health problem
being divulged.
What are the timescales for each of the services?
The results of the Pre-Employment Assessments and the Night
Worker Medical Assessment & Follow-Up will be returned
to you within a maximum of three working days. You
will be provided with a weekly update report on Management
Referrals until the case is complete.
What happens if a problem is identified at the screening
stage?
If the screening highlights problems or potential problems
we can guide you through the options and, if necessary,
arrange for the applicant to undergo more detailed examinations.
